I am passionate about everyone enjoying and sharing flavourful food

It All Started When…

I lived with my cousin who couldn’t eat many of the foods we grew up enjoying because of food intolerances. Finding ‘Free-From’ Caribbean food products was near impossible and staring at labels whilst food shopping was slow and tiresome. All we wanted to do was share meals and enjoy the flavours we loved together, why was this so hard?

But not being a person who backs away from a challenge I started experimenting in the kitchen, finding ways to make Caribbean food that EVERYONE can enjoy and Taino was born. 

I hand-make condiments such as pickles, chutneys, sauces and syrups based on recipes from across the Caribbean. Taino condiments are vegan, gluten and nut free; so are completely adaptable to special dietary needs making snacks and meal times fun and inclusive to all. They are made with all natural ingredients and no artificial additives or preservatives. 

The business is named after the indigenous Taino people who first populated many of the Caribbean islands, cultivating the fruits and vegetables we now know and love. The aim of Taino is to celebrate the heritage, culture, vibrancy and flavours of the Caribbean with every bite.
